Sharp policies to solve the housing crisis

During the jagvillhabostad.nu general meeting, new political proposals for our housing policy program were adopted. jagvillhabostad.nu actively follows how the housing market affects us young people and part of our work is to develop sharp housing policy proposals to get us out of the housing crisis.

The housing market is in dire straits and the situation for young people is further exacerbated by the collapse in housing construction. But the situation does not have to be like that. jagvillhabostad.nu has a broad housing policy program with proposals for a fairer and more equal housing market where all young people can live safely.

During the General Assembly, two policy points were added, one on the eviction of children and one on the fact that loans should be based on ability to pay and not marital status. A new chapter on the role of the EU in housing policy was also added.

Eviction of children

Sweden has a zero vision that no children should be evicted from their homes, but despite this, the number of families with children who are evicted has increased sharply in recent years. jagvillhabostad.nu believes that households with children should not be able to be evicted and that eviction should not be used as collective punishment.

Companion loan

Banks should provide loans based on ability to pay and not marital status. In today's society, more and more people are choosing to live alternative lifestyles through new forms of employment, relationships and housing. This should not be a barrier to buying a home.

EU housing policy

The European Union is an important political arena for solving the housing shortage in Sweden. That's why jagvillhabostad.nu adopted the brand new chapter "EU Housing Policy".
