About the service
jagvillhabostad.nu is looking for a project manager for a one-year MUCF-funded project: Young people about housing discrimination. The project aims to highlight young people's own voices, experiences and knowledge of discrimination in the housing market based on the intersection between being young and other grounds of discrimination. The project will conduct a collection of young people's experiences and knowledge that will result in a knowledge report, lecture with associated workshop and final conference. As project manager, you will have the main responsibility for the planning and implementation of the project.
The project will start on September 30, 2024 and is funded by the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society.
Main tasks:
- Planning, documentation and ongoing monitoring of project activities and budget
- Recruitment and coordination of participants
- Collection of qualitative and quantitative data
- Contact and coordination with partners and other relevant actors
- Preparation of final report and lecture
- Dissemination of the project e.g. through final conference and digital campaign
- Integration of lecture and knowledge into regular activities
- Final reporting of the project
Profile of
We are looking for someone who is confident in independently driving changing processes forward and enjoys working with others. It is important that you have the ability to create safe spaces for conversations and build trust with both young people and partners. For the position, you should also be structured, decisive, analytical and communicative. We attach great importance to personal suitability for the position.
We are looking for people who have:
- Education in relevant field including knowledge of intersectional perspective, discrimination and anti-racist work
- Knowledge and experience in managing similar projects in civil society
- Knowledge and experience in knowledge collection and production of major reports
- Experience in budget responsibility and budget monitoring
- Very good ability to express yourself in writing in Swedish
Meritorious:
- Experience in participatory and dialogical work with young people
- Experience in developing and delivering lectures/trainings
- Experience in planning campaigns and events
- Knowledge of the housing market and housing policy
- Lived experiences of discrimination
Employment
The position we offer is a one-year project position at 100% with collective agreements and target-driven working hours with 35 h / week. Weekend and evening work occurs. Travel to different locations is also included in the service. The service starts on September 30 and is primarily located at the office in central Gothenburg.
