jagvillhabostad.nu is a member-driven association. This means that we always start from our members and that our member-elected boards decide on the direction of our activities.
We are non-partisan and non-religious and operate on the basis of feminist, anti-racist and democratic principles with regard to climate and environment
Young people are a heterogeneous group with different conditions on the housing market, but there are some common denominators among many: lower incomes, poorer employment conditions and few or no references from previous housing. That is why we organize young people to be able to influence their housing situation, housing policy and community building in general.
Our most important mission is to monitor and act on the needs, rights and interests of young people. Together, we are committed to improving the situation of young people in the housing market both in the short and long term around Sweden and stand up for the right of all young people to live safely. Förbundet utgörs av förbundsstyrelsen, sex stycken lokalavdelningar och ett kansli. Kansliet består i dagsläget av en generalsekreterare, en verksamhetsutvecklare och en kommunikatör som jobbar på uppdrag av förbundsstyrelsen.
The Executive Committee leads the work of the Federation at national level and is elected annually by the General Assembly. At the General Assembly, our members also decide on the future and direction of the association, such as our operational plan, our housing policy program and our budget.
Local chapters work at local level and are independent of the central activities of the union. They have their own boards, finances and activities. We currently have local chapters in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Uppsala, Örebro and Umeå.
Klara Eklund valdes in som ny ordförande på vår förbundsstämma i mars 2025. Hon har en master inom statsvetenskap och tidigare erfarenhet från styrelsearbete och ledande roller inom ideella organisationer samt inom bostadspolitiken.
